"Infovox iVox users can enjoy the new voices with any Mac application, including Apple's VoiceOver, TextEdit, Preview, Safari, Adobe's Acrobat Reader, AssistiveWare's VisioVoice™, Proloquo™ and GhostReader™," said David Niemeijer, AssistiveWare founder and CEO. “Young German and Australian users now have available to them voice selections that are both natural sounding and age appropriate”.

Infovox iVox provides 75 system-wide clear and pleasant voices in 26 languages to Mac OS X for blind and vision impaired users, for individuals who need audible feedback or reading support, for language learning and for those who just prefer listening to their computer.

New Infovox iVox 3.2 voices include: German children voices (Jonas and Lea), Australian children voices (Liam and Olivia), Australian adult female (Lisa), Gothenburg Swedish adult male (Kal) and Scanian Swedish adult female (Mia).

The addition of Lisa, Australian adult female voice, completes the Infovox iVox Australian voice family.

The new Infovox iVox 3.2 voices will cost between 20 and 70 dollars/euros excluding VAT for use on up to two computers. Price varies by voice. A 30-day full-function trial of each voice can be downloaded from within the Infovox Voice Manager, enabling a thorough evaluation before purchase. Infovox iVox 3.2 is a free update for existing customers.

The German children voices are made available through the collaborative development effort of AssistiveWare, Acapela Group and Tobii Technology. The Australian children voices were co-developed by AssistiveWare and Acapela Group.

The Australian female voice, the Gothenburg Swedish male voice and the Scanian Swedish female voice making their debut on the Mac were developed by Acapela Group.
