- Go to Options
in the toolbar.
- Go to Language and Speech.
- Go to Play.
- Select which method of playback works best for you. All at Once will speak everything you have written. By Sentences will play one sentence at a time, stopping after each. By Paragraph will do the same with paragraphs, stopping after each one.
- To speak the next part of the message, press Play
. You can still stop during a message with the Pause button 
.

By default, Proloquo4Text will speak everything written in the Text Pad. However, you may find that speaking sentences or paragraphs one at a time is more useful for presentations, or to provide better control over conversation speed.
