Hide or show the Edit and Options buttons

To help prevent unwanted changes, you can hide the Edit and Options buttons from the toolbar, or protect the Settings button with a password lock.

Hide the Edit button

To help prevent unwanted changes, you can hide the Edit buttons from the toolbar. In this menu you can also toggle off specific sharing options.

Go to Options .
Go to Settings.
Tap Restrictions.
Under Toolbar you will find the option to toggle Edit Mode ON or OFF. When you are done, tap Done to exit Settings.

Hide the Options button

You can completely remove the Options button from simPODD. Removing Options will remove the ability to access PODD books within the app.

Go to your iPad’s Settings, then scroll down to your list of installed apps.
Select simPODD, and toggle OFF the Show More Options button. To restore the button, toggle the button back to ON.

Lock the Settings button

If you do not want the user to have full access to simPODD’s settings you can password lock the Settings button.

Go to Options .
Go to Settings.
In Menu Lock, toggle the button ON or OFF. You will be asked to set a password. Anyone trying to access Settings will need to enter the password.
